Nellis was within range for T-38 Cross-countries. Video games were so much in their infancy that we saw our first black & white "Pong" game in tge casino. Each game cost a quarter, but there were lots of quarter slots (nickel slots had all but been phased out). Us brown bars (AKA Kids) spent hours winning maybe one quarter at a time, then playing a digital game of ping-pong with each other. Looking back, I feel like we were as naive as Boy Scouts being taken on a "snipe hunt".
